OFF Leach Dog Parks in Melbourne
Dog friendly beaches
During summer (November 1 – March 31) 7 dog beaches in Port Phillip for dogs during the summer.
Five of these have unrestricted access.
- St Kilda – Brooks Jetty to the northern end of the car park
- West St Kilda – St Kilda Pier along Pier Rd for 400m
- Middle Park – Langridge Street to 140m past Fraser St
- Port Melbourne – Sandridge Beach, Barak Rd to Cumberland R.
- Port Melbourne – Lagoon Pier to Dow St
Two are early morning beaches only:
- Elwood – rock groyne sth of Pt Ormond and beach access ramp 35m sth east of Normandy Rd, 5.30am-9.30am only.
- Middle Park – Kerferd Rd pier and Langridge Street, 5.30am-9.30am only, off-peak season (April 1 – October 31) opens up all Port Phillip beaches to dogs off-leash (except two environmentally sensitive areas where dogs are not allowed at any time of the year)
